Northside UMC lenten organ concert 2019

I was invited to paint selected Stations of the Cross during an organ concert at Northside UMC in Atlanta, GA. While the organist played pieces inspired by each Stations of the Cross, I painted a simple icon as a visual companion to each musical movement. I worked with the organist to time out the paintings to match the length of each piece, and alternated between canvases as a new piece began. What resulted was a multi-sensory experience of the Stations of the Cross.
