“Angry Enough to Die” is inspired by Jonah 3:10-4:11

Jonah emotes in the midst of the visual chaos of the bush. God is forgiving a people who have been brutal and horrendously violent towards Jonah’s people, so he yells in anger and hold his hands over his ears, not wanting to listen or accept the pain of this forgiveness. I wanted to emphasize, however, that God provided him a healing space, with shade, to rage. This is referenced by the archway of flowers surrounding him.
